oh, gary mar, rosey backstabbers, premiers & oda

Mum's the word. Don't tell Redford.. The dude (Gary Mar, Alberta’s Envoy to Hong Kong) is vidicated. Or is he? "Rutherford claims Mar has been reinstated with full back pay. Last week a spokesman from Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations denied reports Mar had been reinstated, saying the investigation was still ongoing."

Rutherford must be Mr. XLRight.™ And nobody told the premier. It's kind of like when all the talk last year was to maybe, perhaps, maybe, perhaps, or maybe consider a new national energy program, er, national energy strategy or plan. (But who needs that when you have a new, big gestapo 'mandate'-stick called a federal majority.) Redford mentions NEPlan a couple of months ago and, oh, it's not the talk now, young lady. Today, à la eastern bastards freeze in the dark ... wedgie big scary lieberals stuff and chanting. bwahahaha.

Anyway, Redford's Oil Coach (Allan Markin) left his job. Election Day. Trying to figure out which candidates live in my constituency. It could be fewer than I thought. That's odd. Illegal donations to the PC party: the 'attack chihuahua' (Alberta Chief Electoral Officer, Brian Fjeldheim) is on it.

It seems slightly, just slightly ... anachronistic: Socred (fundamentalist Christianity etc, 1935-1971) to PC (drunken abusive premier limo-boy yelling and throwing coins at bums, 1971-present) to Reform Party Wildrose, ... whew. All of the parties' leaders are not a sure thing. Note to self: I can't forget the unconstitutional, cart-before-the-horse, waiting for nothing Triple E pretend senators.

It doesn't really square with a project for a new north american century. Or does it. And, limo-girl, Bev Odious Oda. Oops, wrong "not" scandal. Save Money With Cons. Oops, wrong limo/chauffeur scandal. Here: Apr 23 2012. "Five Star Hotel not Good Enough"

bronco goes to dc, little black lies & the castle

Well, Gary Mar came back from the Alberta Embassy in Washington for the provincial Progressive Conservative (PC) leadership race, which he lost, so now he's being shipped to China Hong Kong. Asia. The U.S. vacancy will be filled, as was Mar's position, i.e. without due process, by former Calgary mayor Dave 'Bronco' Bronconnier for about nine months. Hopefully, Ambadassador Gordon Campbell in the UK, Bronco in Washington and Mar in Asia can birth their many bouncing baby pipelines, mines, logging inroads.

Lettuce earnestly hope that no mention will be made by these 3distinguished gentlemens of an Alberta grizzly bear expert, who lives in self-imposed exile (Missoula, Montana). Anyway... a new book by Jeff Gailus is upcoming. 'Little Black Lies: The War on Truth in the Battle for the Tar Sands' will be published by Rocky Mountain Books in Fall 2012.

Of the Castle Special Management Area, he says:

It was ostensibly “protected” as part of the Alberta government’s Special Places Program in 1998, but unlike other candidate parks, it wasn’t protected by legislation; it was simply managed as one under government policy, which has been ineffective to say the least. Logging and energy development continue to this day.

In 'Legislation, not policy, foundation of environmental protection,' Fast Forward Weekly, Nov 3, 2011.

A provincial park is still waiting: Andy Russell - I'tai sah kòp Wildland Park was proposed in 2005 for the Castle and/or Castle-Crown Wilderness. See the media release, notes and letter.

speculation: rat3pack to$ monetize$ wolfhunt

Gary, and whats-his-name (covert, deleted emails or he's not here), and former energy minister Rick got it in with the hunting crowd and lodges and high end US trophy game hunters. And we all know the thousand plus wolves gotta go, for the woodland caribou recovery, says federal environment person, or no says another.

"Canada’s Minister of Environment Peter Kent supports a plan that would shoot or poison wolves that have been preying on caribou." Or was that paradis industry, can never remember, which is switch.

What's that worth, a heli hunt per wolf? Co-inkadinkly, and must be nice bizniz as usual fer flyboyz, "What is it, and why does vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin support the practice?"

Haha! Reminds me of the funny Armstrong ranch story, 2006, and the hunt: Dick Cheney shoots Harry Whittington, mistakes a campaign contributor for a quail.

Who's Gary Mar?

Alison Redford is much better.

These jerks just ride back in from the lobby farm and think their bed's still made.

Alberta's lobbying pitch was not merely being sold in Washington though. Wherever a clean energy law targeting the oil sands was proposed in states across America, the province's former U.S. representative, Gary Mar, intervened.

He did so with the help of Canadian consulates across the country. Those satellites of northern influence helped him gain access to state legislatures and their representatives, Frazer says.

Mar -- who's now running for Alberta premier -- spoke out against clean energy laws in Wisconsin, Maryland, Pennsylvania and at least nine other states.

Nice.
