best of 2019: Alberta forbidden words

UCP provincial government orders public schools to remove the word "public" from their names. Education minister: Adriana LaGrange, Aug15 by ministerial order.

Lagrange is the Kenney leadership Red Deer pro-life stacker (special guest: hapner). See also Jason Kenney's 2016 interview with Ezra Levant.

Lagrange only was "simplifying naming conventions," along the lines of other "simple" things like UCP firing Elections Commissioner (Bill 22, "only merging" with Elections Alberta).

Unicorns in London

After the DC trip, former Rebel Media corporate director and Conservative Party campaign manager, Hamish Marshall, is guiding his new little unicorn to London, England on a trade mission. Marshall's wife used to be Rob Anders' roommate (comments).

Who else has gone to London? Just Murray Edwards in 2016. In addition to business interests in NHL's Calgary Flames, local resorts, being WestJet's 4th largest shareholder, yachting vacations with Rona Ambrose, Imperial Metals (Mt Polley BC disaster), Magellan Aerospace Corp., Canadian Natural Resources, director of Ensign Energy Services during stock option backdating suit in 2004 ($4M settlement), ... wait, where was I? ...

Oh right, Rob Anders.

Oklahoma City 1994: Republican Jim Inhofe campaign. At a news conference in Oklahoma City, McCurdy called a worker who wore a Pinocchio nose at a debate Wednesday "a paid political thug" who had broken campaign laws. He said the Inhofe campaign was resorting to Watergate-style dirty tricks.

Oct 2017: Rumour was that Rob Anders wore a tuxedo to the UCP leadership victory party. Former snack pack members include Ezra Levant and Jason Kenney.

squirrel in rafters!

MP for Simcoe-Grey spies a squirrel?
What in the motherfuck of a terrible video is going on. Theories about the slow ponderous wandering gaze, awkward pauses and stupid sighs include:

Kellie Leitch is drunk, or an alien, or in a bizarre fever dream."Full of strange pauses and odd angles."

Leitch's campaign manager, Nick Kouvalis, resigned in Feb 2017 before the video's March release, some sort of controversy about cuck or rehab. He also was "the former senior political strategist for the late Toronto mayor Rob Ford and for the current Toronto Mayor John Tory" (CBC, 2 Feb 2017), as well as Christy Clark in B.C. (Toronto Star, 3 Feb 2017). He plead guilty to drunk driving in May 2016.

Mr Kouvalis and Sarah Warry-Poljansk, some sort of PC nominee, were charged with B&E in Burlington, Ont. Their lawyers have a meeting with the Crown at 2pm, 14 Feb 2018 at the Milton court house. (See update, Mar 2.)

UPDATE #2: MP for Simcoe-Grey, Kellie Leitch, announced in late Jan 2018 she will not seek re-election in 2019. In Feb 2018, Elections Canada records showed Rebel Media both 1) covered Leitch's leadership campaign in some sort of capacity as a news agency and 2) received payment for social media services in the amount of $56,500.
Two days before Leitch cut Rebel Media two cheques worth $22,600 in February 2017, Leitch was featured in an exclusive “one-on-one” with Rebel Media “BC Bureau Chief” Christopher Wilson.
And more:
Kouvalis’ Campaign Research and Campaign Support received $351,345 between July 2016 and August 2017 from the Leitch campaign, alone amounting to one-quarter of Leitch’s entire $1.3 million worth of campaign expenses.
Kouvalis’ companies also earned over $200,000 following his resignation as Leitch's campaign manager. Donors to the leadership campaign include some sort of Canadian CEOs.

The Mechanics Of Electoral Fraud In Canada

2 thumbs up! Micro-targeting from Bush-McCain 2000 to Canada. The initiative for the bingo card scheme actually came from a meeting of the minds between the Conservative Party of Canada and the Bloc, a party whose avowed purpose is to break up Canada.

Elections Canada: 1. Underfunded, 2. Denied Adequate Enforcement Resources, 3. Denied Legislative Powers To Prosecute Electoral Fraud In A Timely Manner. Bill C-31: An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Public Service Employment Act.

In other news, Pierre Karl Péladeau wants to be PQ leader.

The externalization of the unique stable voter identifier number and the use of the Elections Canada bingo card constitute the 2 elements that enabled the robocall voter suppression scandal. - statement of Will Arlow to the Election Canada Advisory Committee of Political Parties (ACPP)

BC Rail

I don't know how much ("taxpayers"/public) R&D money was invested in BC Rail (PGE-BCR), since February 27th, 1912, but in 2004 Premier Gordon Campbell's Liberal Socred-Con government broke its election pledge not to sell it.

http://pgrfm.bc.ca
It was owned by the public as a crown corporation from 1918 until 2004. In September 2011, Gordon Campbell became Canada's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. A terrible mistake, 2003.

Phone number behind misleading call traced to Conservative office disconnected: Kitchener-Conestoga MP to investigate: http://www.therecord.com/news/local/article/642172--phone-number-behind-misleading-call-disconnected

"The party claims the marketing firm RMG, which was charged with placing the calls, accidentally contacted her about voting in Kitchener Centre. An investigation by The Record revealed the link between the party and the phone call Siopiolosz received. It also revealed she was not alone.

"Elections Canada received over 100 reports of such misleading phone calls in the run-up to the May 2nd election. When called Monday, the phone number went to a voicemail from the “Conservative Party” that promised to get back to inquiries within three days. As of Tuesday morning, the number was no longer in service."

Firm that made Cotler calls also worked for Speaker Andrew Scheer, other Tory candidates. | Federal Tories say alleged election crank call was just an honest mistake.

oh, gary mar, rosey backstabbers, premiers & oda

Mum's the word. Don't tell Redford.. The dude (Gary Mar, Alberta’s Envoy to Hong Kong) is vidicated. Or is he? "Rutherford claims Mar has been reinstated with full back pay. Last week a spokesman from Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations denied reports Mar had been reinstated, saying the investigation was still ongoing."

Rutherford must be Mr. XLRight.™ And nobody told the premier. It's kind of like when all the talk last year was to maybe, perhaps, maybe, perhaps, or maybe consider a new national energy program, er, national energy strategy or plan. (But who needs that when you have a new, big gestapo 'mandate'-stick called a federal majority.) Redford mentions NEPlan a couple of months ago and, oh, it's not the talk now, young lady. Today, à la eastern bastards freeze in the dark ... wedgie big scary lieberals stuff and chanting. bwahahaha.

Anyway, Redford's Oil Coach (Allan Markin) left his job. Election Day. Trying to figure out which candidates live in my constituency. It could be fewer than I thought. That's odd. Illegal donations to the PC party: the 'attack chihuahua' (Alberta Chief Electoral Officer, Brian Fjeldheim) is on it.

It seems slightly, just slightly ... anachronistic: Socred (fundamentalist Christianity etc, 1935-1971) to PC (drunken abusive premier limo-boy yelling and throwing coins at bums, 1971-present) to Reform Party Wildrose, ... whew. All of the parties' leaders are not a sure thing. Note to self: I can't forget the unconstitutional, cart-before-the-horse, waiting for nothing Triple E pretend senators.

It doesn't really square with a project for a new north american century. Or does it. And, limo-girl, Bev Odious Oda. Oops, wrong "not" scandal. Save Money With Cons. Oops, wrong limo/chauffeur scandal. Here: Apr 23 2012. "Five Star Hotel not Good Enough"

vote moving...

Maple Ridge resident calls for federal voter fraud inquiry:
Bryant said he got his total of the 4,635 majority-making votes from 13 of the closest races he could find, many of them in the Greater Toronto Area. According to Bryant, who said he has training in fraud management, Canada’s electoral system is wide open to abuse. Georgia Straight

More voters-list issues found in Toronto riding:
At least 2,700 such applications were approved and signed by an elections official so that the applicant could vote. But an examination by CBC News shows most of them have address problems. Some give addresses of a bank or a UPS store, where nobody lives. Others have no address at all. And most have no previous address  CBC

Interesting! --- "But what most people may not know, considering that the media buried the story, is that both Steve Murphy and Mike Duffy were charged with ethics violations, as a result of their complicity in influencing the results of an election. [The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) today released two decisions concerning the broadcast of three false starts of an interview by CTV anchor Steve Murphy with Liberal leader Stéphane Dion during the October 2008 federal election campaign. Each restart had been requested by Mr. Dion and granted by Mr. Murphy, CJCH-TV (CTV Atlantic)’s news anchor.]

Idle Canadian Awards, 2008. Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada
- for playing politics with Canadians: for breaking his own election law to call an election that wasn’t necessary (at a cost of $300 million) to try to get his majority; for continuing to bully his opponents, especially Stéphane Dion who was targeted by an unfair advertising campaign; saying one thing at an international conference (we will stimulate the economy), then doing the opposite (we will cut); trying to cut off most of the funding to the Opposition political parties for partisan gain; failing to face Parliament and running to the Governor-General to prorogue. more award winners here

"According to Dr. Joan Russow of the Global Compliance Research Project:
There should never have been an election in Canada. The Governor General should have refused to accept the Right Honourable Steven Harper’s request for an election when there was an outstanding investigation into the fraudulent practices of the Conservative Party during the 2006 election. The investigation was underway by the Parliamentary Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics. With the calling of the election, the Committee was disbanded. In addition, there was a similar investigation by Elections Canada...
"One thing that the 1999 re-election campaign of Mike Harris, and the 2008 re-election campaign of Stephen Harper had in common, was Guy Giorno."

Robocall probe stretches to 200 ridings across Canada: chief electoral officer Marc Mayrand

Terrible. aghast, even if it's just one case. But will the prime minister's own cat photographer and photog/videog entourage (harper.gov) be laid off, in the 'back office' cutbacks.

w.t.f.
At least he got rid of the personal groomer, 2006-2010, yet without offering to disclose her full-time salary for these public services. So, Mayrand appears on Thursday 'budget day'.

on spec: canada a robocall test market

alberta election: MLAs

MADD as hell
The writ hasn't been dropped yet, but PC party advertising has began (campaign style events). Another point is the budget: is the Redford government in breach of the legislature with budget 2012 ads? Premier Alison Redford had a nice time and was so well-spoken in Washington DC and New York City (Eastern Energy Conference) that she was asked to be Mitt Romney's running mate.

The unelected leader of the Wildrose Alliance Party in Okotoks picked an issue, and of all the issues from which to pick, it's 0.05 blood alcohol. The campaign is on drink coasters.

What's more intriguing are 21 MLAs who get paid $1000/mo. for being on a committee ("Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing") when there are no meetings. In fact, there has been no meeting since November 2008, so that's quite a few potatoes.

There also is the recent $500,000 MLA retirement transition allowance and or severance payouts, in addition to pension. That's half a million bucks for an MLA? So ---- 23 retiring MLAs ---- $10.5 million. Economist Herbert Grubel said every legislature in the country provides a transition allowance, but the dollars doled out here make Alberta stand out like a sore thumb. Thank you, Ken Kowalski. Of course, a lot of MLA's are retiring.

Next, the graph. Who knew!?

Adding this up, it appears to be a big, expensive, self-serving, bullying, and bullying Alberta PC... oil & gas junta ... natural resource gestapo junta that went national. (Graph: Liberal 2012 Election Platform.) See also: Political funding spurs 52 probes.

In the previous election, March 3 2008, carbon capture and storage (CCS) was the cat's meow. Stelmach, Jul 2008: $2 billion in funding, the green image. Now it's not.

spoofing & disposable cell phones

To spoof or not to spoof. "A spoofing attack is a situation in which one person or program successfully masquerades as another by falsifying data and thereby gaining an illegitimate advantage." And the disposable 'burner' cell phone, purchased in the Guelph area, using RackNine, who's suing Pat Martin (Winnipeg Centre) and the NDP ($5m) for loss of business and defamation, which seems quite petty, no ... pathetic. Lemme get this straight. There is one investigator (Ronald Lamothe) and there are 31,000+ Elections Canada complaints.

Spoofing: what happened? in Saanich-Gulf Islands, nothing. harassment, spoofing, intimidation, or false identification do not count (Elections Canada)?? that is not reassuring. but good to know, because... it's time to start making calls! anonyvotomafioso fraud is okay! elections are ... just like Nigerian bank emails!

like the anonymous phone calls to an elderly breast cancer survivor who spoke out about her humiliating experience with airport security and scanners. ("airport security slammed after senior humiliated, tot subjected to pat-down," Friday, January 14, 2011 - "Since her story garnered national publicity, Strecker says she's received several anonymous voice mails accusing her of using the incident for personal gain.")

Lemme get this straight, again. There is one investigator (Ronald Lamothe) and 31,000+ Elections Canada complaints.

robo.gov - update

The Conservatives blamed robocalls on multiple parties, including:

Liberal Party (Dean Del Mastro, Mar5/12),
Elections Canada (Saskatchewan MP Maurice Vellacott, Mar5/12),
a third party (Mike Duffy, Feb 27/12),
isolated incidents (Peter MacKay, Feb 27/12),
they do not know who was responsible (re Guelph, MP Dean Del Mastro, Mar 4/12).

MP Maurice Vellacott (Saskatoon-Wanuskewin) explains that the Conservative Party’s central campaign office in Ottawa is in charge of all Elections Canada voter lists and candidate voter identification lists, including the addition of voter telephone numbers, for all of the 308 Conservative candidate campaigns in federal elections. (Mar 6/12)

Conservatives refuse to make their phone lists public, and demand the Liberals do (they will), which sounds like Stratfor's strategy for scandals: "Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations." (Fred's Rule #2) And PM Harper refuses to explain why Conservative MPs rejected an Elections Canada request to verify campaign financial returns. (Mar 7/12)

In 2008: "Robocalls the night before the election reached thousands of NDP supporters to urge them to get out and vote for the non-existent candidate." (more: shady 3rd party organizations advertising for Lunn, Saanich-Gulf Islands)

hack: i heart ted morton. 9x.
(federal announcement, social

. July 22, 2011)
But, war veterans are so... boring: sleepytime MP, Rob Anders, was asked to resign from the Commons veterans affairs committee. His apology for "hacks" and "Putins" was not accepted. (Why not just resign altogether, or fire the bum.)

In 2007: "the courts overturned Anders’s acclamation and ordered a new nomination meeting after the judge determined the Conservatives had violated their own rules." Who is Vitor Marciano anyway?
