open letter to rona ambrose@encanada

Yo.

I would have written the other environment minister (desert storm scud stud, Afghanistan reporter, Arthur Kent, oops that's his brother, Peter Kent), but since you babbled about Kyoto, novels, HappyOil (2006-07) and got this timbits tarball rolling and P. Kent babbles about finishing it or is it the 'engine' of the North American economy! (oops, that's the new provincial Minister of Energy, Ken Hughes), and now another artist is not very happy.

wow, multi-billion dollar buttons! - Ambrose, Clement, MacKay
And besides, you are Canada's new limousine winner! *$40,000* That Tony Clement is funny. I liked what he said about MP limos. "We work long hours for Encana Canadians."

Weird. Three departments refused to provide details on drivers' overtime citing privacy reasons: Environment Canada, Public Safety Canada and the Privy Council Office.

And that's not counting Franke James. More on roma androse, manRights and other Polish tax agreements.

open letter to vic toews

hey, sorry to read about your messy divorce. that must have been a surprise (the baby). sh*t happ--. during the last election, or was it one of the ones before it, i don't recall, after the 4th election in 7 years, there were all kinds of things floating about ignatieff's first marriage and kids, paul martin's alleged mistress, even learned about DND computers antagonizing critics of an untendered F-35 jet purchase and the 'puters' working its Wikipedia article.

"either stand with us or with the child pornographers"

now, child pornographers lol, which is almost ironic, but i'm not exactly sure of the unfortunate nanny's age or whether the gay bathhouse story is true. not to mention the resurrection of Jack Layton's decades-old massage and i thought on a dying man yet. besides, you haven't even read the whole bill! [Bill C-30, Section 487.0195: warrantless searches, any police officer] that you tabled. i hope you lose your job, mister family values.

minister of public safety. weird eh?

Dear @ToewsVic, there's a cut in my brake lines :( Any idea how it happened? #TellVicEverything

open letter to shaw

Refused, No. 21
{file #12-21.} August 5, 2011
Dear Shaw - For several months, I have been receiving promotional Shaw material in my mail box, addressed to Occupant. At the last receipt of a letter, I again *Refused* it and I hope you received it back, for the 11th time. Today, I received yet another. Is there a way I can stop this relentless influx of unwanted mail? I am not a customer. I don't plan to be a customer. Even if I change my mind, I do know how to contact companies with which I might want to deal for these services. These letters would make me not choose you.
Thanks,
Occupant

open letter to rob anders, mp

hiya! I support the CBC. I think it is a National Treasure! Oh, except for its nauseating, endless coverage of the royals last summer. Oh, and its nauseating, endless coverage of another invasion (Libya), yeah yeah Qaddafi had too much, knew too much. Still.

CBC Record Library Toronto, circa 1960.
I see 185 people responded to your poll. The CBC was funded over $1 billion by the Government of Canada last year alone. Should the CBC remain publicly funded? And 79% (143 people) said it should be de-funded. Alberta Outdoorsmen don't like it either. The LP, CD archives are being sold, so it must be in the air.

Too bad, your vote on Nelson Mandela, 2001. Oh well, what can ya do. You should set up a White History Month, since it matters so much, in Julys. It would (sorta) coincide with London 2012, Dominion Day War1812Stuff 2012, Stampede 2012. Talk it over with the elks, orange order, shriners, we're-#1christian guys and gals, the legion. It may help tone down the white priders, with the boots, like the folks who set the Filipino man on fire.

I noticed Donna Kennedy-Glans, y'know when the 23 of 30 member executive resigned a while ago, she just won the PC nomination in Calgary-Varsity. Okay, are you a pastor? I saw a video online: you at a Remembrance Day ceremony. I don't think John McCrae ever mentioned the Jesus thing and red poppies signifying the promise of resurrection, but yours is an interesting interpretation.

I think the poem is just about ordinary dead guys and poppies that blow, on fields of crosses.

open letter to joe oliver, minister of natural resources

Hey Joe,

open letter to deborah yedlin

Re:Keystone pipeline decision in a word: politics
By Deborah Yedlin, Calgary Herald January 21, 2012

I would have to disagree with Deborah Yedlin's analysis. The Keystone pipeline decision in a word? Macondo

The environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico was a game changer, with its poor risk assessment, flawed equipment, its teflon responsibilities among the parties, the 11 deaths on the platform, the costs to local industries and common 'little' people, including health, a point which Yedlin missed.

The US regulatory agency was completely revised.* It also brought the 'obscurities' of pipelines and oil extraction to the fore. Additionally, Macondo introduced a disaster in US waters by a foreign multinational, so scrutiny and the environmental impact assessments required are now more intense. The public is watching.

Any company can promise anything, whether it be 'jobs,' 'science facts,' 'human rights,' or whatever may be industry and government public relations messages that day, but the proof is in the slick. Then, after Macondo, there were the Michigan River (Enbridge, July 2010) and Yellowstone River (Exxon Mobil, July 2011) spills.

The main thing: the oil industry rarely finds itself at fault.

Tell Us What You Think

"The Beyond the Border Working Group wants to hear from you on ways to preserve and extend the benefits the close relationship between Canada and the United States has helped bring to Canadians and Americans alike. Your input will inform the development of a joint action plan for perimeter security and economic competitiveness. From now through to **June 3, 2011** you can participate in our online consultation and provide your thoughts on initiatives that would improve security while supporting economic competitiveness, job creation and prosperity." http://www.borderactionplan-plandactionfrontalier.gc.ca/psec-scep/consultations-consultations.aspx

Hello, Your question is worded stupidly. I think there is a typo: "How would you suggest Canada and the United States collaborate to project critical infrastructure and ensure cyber security?" You probably meant "to protect" or something like that. Who knows really.

Anyway, sure, why not team up with the toilet-est economy in the world, i.e. the USA. Has no one in Canada's federal government looked at the balance shite here? Has no one in Canada's federal government checked the clout the EPA has in relation to, say, corporations and their 'health concerns'? Has no one in Canada's federal government realized that years and years of careful planning and investments will likely be lost now?

Sure, why not. And let's build military bases all over the world, too. That way, we can throw words around like "prosperity" and "security" (or is it projectity for a new American Century (PNAC)) and do business with and bomb whoever we damn well want to, whenever we damn well want to.

Sure, gopher it. Kill all the civilians we can and sell a LOT of armaments.
