best of 2019: Alberta forbidden words

UCP provincial government orders public schools to remove the word "public" from their names. Education minister: Adriana LaGrange, Aug15 by ministerial order.

Lagrange is the Kenney leadership Red Deer pro-life stacker (special guest: hapner). See also Jason Kenney's 2016 interview with Ezra Levant.

Lagrange only was "simplifying naming conventions," along the lines of other "simple" things like UCP firing Elections Commissioner (Bill 22, "only merging" with Elections Alberta).

Ministerial rating: 0/5

best of 2017 - Bonus!

Saskatchewan MP Gerry Ritz resigned in 2017. A highlight was his tweet about polls. He served Battlefords—Lloydminster from 1997 as Reform, then Alliance and CPC post-merger (2004) member.

Fascinating! The world tilts every 40-50 years and polls freeze.

In other science news, Stephen Hawking passed (1942-2018). His ashes will be interred in Westminster Abbey near Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.

Unicorns in London

After the DC trip, former Rebel Media corporate director and Conservative Party campaign manager, Hamish Marshall, is guiding his new little unicorn to London, England on a trade mission. Marshall's wife used to be Rob Anders' roommate (comments).

Who else has gone to London? Just Murray Edwards in 2016. In addition to business interests in NHL's Calgary Flames, local resorts, being WestJet's 4th largest shareholder, yachting vacations with Rona Ambrose, Imperial Metals (Mt Polley BC disaster), Magellan Aerospace Corp., Canadian Natural Resources, director of Ensign Energy Services during stock option backdating suit in 2004 ($4M settlement), ... wait, where was I? ...

Oh right, Rob Anders.

Oklahoma City 1994: Republican Jim Inhofe campaign. At a news conference in Oklahoma City, McCurdy called a worker who wore a Pinocchio nose at a debate Wednesday "a paid political thug" who had broken campaign laws. He said the Inhofe campaign was resorting to Watergate-style dirty tricks.

Oct 2017: Rumour was that Rob Anders wore a tuxedo to the UCP leadership victory party. Former snack pack members include Ezra Levant and Jason Kenney.

squirrel in rafters!

MP for Simcoe-Grey spies a squirrel?
What in the motherfuck of a terrible video is going on. Theories about the slow ponderous wandering gaze, awkward pauses and stupid sighs include:

Kellie Leitch is drunk, or an alien, or in a bizarre fever dream."Full of strange pauses and odd angles."

Leitch's campaign manager, Nick Kouvalis, resigned in Feb 2017 before the video's March release, some sort of controversy about cuck or rehab. He also was "the former senior political strategist for the late Toronto mayor Rob Ford and for the current Toronto Mayor John Tory" (CBC, 2 Feb 2017), as well as Christy Clark in B.C. (Toronto Star, 3 Feb 2017). He plead guilty to drunk driving in May 2016.

Mr Kouvalis and Sarah Warry-Poljansk, some sort of PC nominee, were charged with B&E in Burlington, Ont. Their lawyers have a meeting with the Crown at 2pm, 14 Feb 2018 at the Milton court house. (See update, Mar 2.)

UPDATE #2: MP for Simcoe-Grey, Kellie Leitch, announced in late Jan 2018 she will not seek re-election in 2019. In Feb 2018, Elections Canada records showed Rebel Media both 1) covered Leitch's leadership campaign in some sort of capacity as a news agency and 2) received payment for social media services in the amount of $56,500.
Two days before Leitch cut Rebel Media two cheques worth $22,600 in February 2017, Leitch was featured in an exclusive “one-on-one” with Rebel Media “BC Bureau Chief” Christopher Wilson.
And more:
Kouvalis’ Campaign Research and Campaign Support received $351,345 between July 2016 and August 2017 from the Leitch campaign, alone amounting to one-quarter of Leitch’s entire $1.3 million worth of campaign expenses.
Kouvalis’ companies also earned over $200,000 following his resignation as Leitch's campaign manager. Donors to the leadership campaign include some sort of Canadian CEOs.

phoenix boondoggle

Rona Ambrose resigned in July as MP for Sturgeon River-Parkland. She was replaced (a) in an October 23 byelection by a 26 year-old Proud Boy, Dane Lloyd, and (b) as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada by a guy with dimples.

"In charge were then-public works minister Rona Ambrose (now interim Conservative leader) and Tony Clement, former president of the treasury board. Neither has expressed any remorse for the fiasco. The Conservatives eliminated 700 payroll jobs in dozens of departments, mainly in Ottawa, and created..."  -The Globe and Mail, 26 Feb 2017

Rona Ambrose and her boyfriend had many Stornoway expenses for a temp job. Stornoway shouldn't be a residence for interim leaders. Then yachting with billionaire Murray Edwards from Jan 3-14 (and writing ethics commissioner about it on Jan 12), while freaking out about Justin Trudeau's vacation.

Murray Edwards moved to London in 2016. His business interests include the Calgary Flames, Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., Magellan Aerospace Corp., Imperial Metals Corp., and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.

bluenose boondoggle

Design date, 1937. (Wikipedia)
Conservatives are a crappy gift that keeps giving. The Bluenose II project is 'now five years behind schedule and $12.5 million over budget.' It gets worse. The contract signed in 2009 by MHPM carried no fines or penalties for delays. Cheques just flowed.

Yes, federal infrastructure stimulus.

In summer 2016, MHPM changed its name to Colliers Project Leaders (CPL). Former PMSH joined Colliers board of directors in September. Franklin Holtforster is still president. Stephen Vaslet is still vice-president in Halifax.

The Mechanics Of Electoral Fraud In Canada

2 thumbs up! Micro-targeting from Bush-McCain 2000 to Canada. The initiative for the bingo card scheme actually came from a meeting of the minds between the Conservative Party of Canada and the Bloc, a party whose avowed purpose is to break up Canada.

Elections Canada: 1. Underfunded, 2. Denied Adequate Enforcement Resources, 3. Denied Legislative Powers To Prosecute Electoral Fraud In A Timely Manner. Bill C-31: An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Public Service Employment Act.

In other news, Pierre Karl Péladeau wants to be PQ leader.

The externalization of the unique stable voter identifier number and the use of the Elections Canada bingo card constitute the 2 elements that enabled the robocall voter suppression scandal. - statement of Will Arlow to the Election Canada Advisory Committee of Political Parties (ACPP)

George Canyon wants to be a Member of Parliament for the new federal riding of Bow River, southern Alberta. His campaign song: Stand Your Ground. So it's Florida or RCMP gun confiscation all over again. The canyon (b. Fred Lays) is from Nova Scotia.

In other news, the godfather is suing darth vader for $6 million. The federal government last year pledged $2.8 billion for flood relief, suppose some of it will be a transfer to the Defence Dept. for CF disaster relief costs.

best of 2013 -- oops!

Conservatives did/ did not send Saskatchewan robocalls.
RackNine, gerrymandering electoral boundaries
PMO: director of issues management
Chase Research -- "mistake"
Hapnerr: "our position to the public is very clear"

The Wildrose Party was suspected by some of involvement in the call but its origin was never confirmed. Meier’s company has worked for Wildrose as well as the federal Conservatives.

“There was an internal miscommunication on the matter, and the calls should have been identified as coming from the Conservative Party,” said DeLorey.

After the Citizen made inquiries of Meier, the outgoing messages on the two numbers were replaced by out-of-service messages.

Jenni Byrne (born 1977) is the director of political operations for the Conservative Party of Canada and a former director of issues management at the Prime Minister's Office.
  • June. PMO sends phony protesters to Trudeau appearance ("Holding signs quoting Tory attack ads, the young Conservatives stood behind Trudeau’s podium during his televised speech.".
  • August "A FRESH START" PMO sought 'ENEMIES LIST' to brief SHUFFLED cabinet ministers and senior staff shuffled at the PMO: "Jenni Byrne, who steered the Conservatives’ 2011 campaign with another former chief of staff, Guy Giorno, moves from the party’s head office to become a deputy chief of staff to Ray Novak."
  • Saskatchewan SenatorPamela Wallin, resident "of Kuroki Beach" SK vs Gluskin Sheff filings (board of directors). On 3 boards, claimed Senate expenses for Porter expenses, and tried to make retroactive redactions.
  • New Canadians and adults in literacy programs get a propaganda-mainline, with HAPNER$VERB$™ & conjugation$™ "voted" #5 btw is incorrect, majority of Canadians did not vote goon. via Read Saskatoon, federally-funded
  • CTV photojournalist Dave Ellis asks Stephen Harper a question, therefore nearly prevented from boarding PM's plane NY - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • Former Harper Press Secretary-Sen. Carolyn Stewart Olsen quits chair of Senate internal economy committee, denies whitewashing expense reports ('deep roots' NB), recently accused of wrongly claiming more than $4,000 in accommodation and meal expenses at a time when she was not involved in any Senate business. Provincial government: there's no money for higher education ($100m cuts)(protests and leaving), because it was all spent on Frack U. ($300m) and carbon capture and storage (ccs)/clean oil energy ($745m), ($1.3b and federal enzymes ($4.7m)).

hehe, Togneri's back

On boogers in the body politic. The Alberta Wildrose Party Sure can pick 'em!

Sebastien Togneri, the high level Tory operative accused of blocking freedom of information requests
"Togneri set off a political firestorm when it was revealed by The Canadian Press that he, as a senior aide to then Public Works Minister Christian Paradis, had ordered the "unrelease" of a sensitive document that the department was set to provide to the news agency after a request under the Access to Information Act. As a result, he was the subject of a year-long probe by Canada's information commissioner in 2011 in which he was found to have meddled in a number of access-to-information files in 2010. The investigation concluded that Togneri had interfered with the release of a record, even though he had no legal authority to do so." source

f-35 saga {new KPMG version}

The Opposition said the numbers weren't right. The Auditor General said the numbers weren't right. The Parliamentary Budget Officer said the numbers weren't right. A US report and Canadian critics said untendered, single engine jets were'n't right. So CPC hireds KPMG, who also said the numbers weren't right.

#robocalls

Elections Canada investigates voter suppression calls in 56 ridings.

CPC's lawyer: Arthur Hamilton

Elections Canada:

"On Aug. 30, 2012, I spoke with Mr. Hamilton by telephone and discussed with him the issue of whether the Conservative Party or its candidate in several [electoral districts] noted herein made such calls. He advised me he would look into the matter and reply," Dickson wrote.

"On Sept. 20, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me he will put the request forward for a response. On Oct. 2, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me that he will attempt to arrange for me to speak directly with the appropriate campaign official. On Oct. 30, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me that he anticipates being able to facilitate such meetings in the near future."

Ted Opitz: I can't add it up {Etobicoke Centre}

Ted Opitz won the Toronto seat of Etobicoke Centre by just 26 votes over Liberal Borys Wrzesnewskyj... An Ontario Superior Court judge found that Elections Canada officials made clerical errors at the polls. The judge threw out 79 votes and overturned the final result. citytv.com (05/28/2012)

Okay, simple.

Optiz said Don't need no stupid judge tellin' no stupid “52,000 people in Etobicoke Centre followed the rules and cast their ballots.

So far so good. But -

... "Their democratic choice has been called into question by [the decision relating to] 0.15 per cent of those ballots."

So, you lose. Stall, and then stall, to the Supreme Court, you goofy imposter. Repeat: nobody took issue with any 52,000 votes. It's 79. Their democratic choice has been called into question by you stalling.

And: Only five other election results have been nullified by the courts since 1949; none of those rulings were appealed and byelections were quickly called to re-determine the will of the people in each riding.

It gets better.

News reports said the calls started on Friday and continued through the weekend, with the callers saying they were telephoning on behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper. theglobeandmail.com (Jun. 04 2012)

(Jason Kenney responds: Adscam!) lol

Earlier: One Etobicoke resident told The Globe and Mail they received an automated call about 6:30 pm ET asking them how they'd vote. Both the Conservative and Liberal parties said they didn't authorize such calls. theglobeandmail.com ("Toronto residents receive robo-calls after judge throws out election results, May 18 2012)

Please god, make it stop. Borys Wrzesnewskyj may have wanted to run for Liberal leadership in July. I don't suppose Mr. Opitz considered that. Not at all.

open letter to rona ambrose@encanada

Yo.

I would have written the other environment minister (desert storm scud stud, Afghanistan reporter, Arthur Kent, oops that's his brother, Peter Kent), but since you babbled about Kyoto, novels, HappyOil™ (2006-07) and got this timbits tarball rolling and P. Kent babbles about finishing it or is it the 'engine' of the North American economy! (oops, that's the new provincial Minister of Energy, Ken Hughes), and now another artist is not very happy.

wow, multi-billion dollar buttons! - Ambrose, Clement, MacKay
And besides, you are Canada's new limousine winner! *$40,000* That Tony Clement is funny. I liked what he said about MP limos. "We work long hours for Encana Canadians."

Weird. Three departments refused to provide details on drivers' overtime citing privacy reasons: Environment Canada, Public Safety Canada and the Privy Council Office.

oh, gary mar, rosey backstabbers, premiers & oda

Mum's the word. Don't tell Redford.. The dude (Gary Mar, Alberta’s Envoy to Hong Kong) is vidicated. Or is he? "Rutherford claims Mar has been reinstated with full back pay. Last week a spokesman from Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations denied reports Mar had been reinstated, saying the investigation was still ongoing."

Rutherford must be Mr. XLRight.™ And nobody told the premier. It's kind of like when all the talk last year was to maybe, perhaps, maybe, perhaps, or maybe consider a new national energy program, er, national energy strategy or plan. (But who needs that when you have a new, big gestapo 'mandate'-stick called a federal majority.) Redford mentions NEPlan a couple of months ago and, oh, it's not the talk now, young lady. Today, à la eastern bastards freeze in the dark ... wedgie big scary lieberals stuff and chanting. bwahahaha.

Anyway, Redford's Oil Coach (Allan Markin) left his job. Election Day. Trying to figure out which candidates live in my constituency. It could be fewer than I thought. That's odd. Illegal donations to the PC party: the 'attack chihuahua' (Alberta Chief Electoral Officer, Brian Fjeldheim) is on it.

It seems slightly, just slightly ... anachronistic: Socred (fundamentalist Christianity etc, 1935-1971) to PC (drunken abusive premier limo-boy yelling and throwing coins at bums, 1971-present) to Reform Party Wildrose, ... whew. All of the parties' leaders are not a sure thing. Note to self: I can't forget the unconstitutional, cart-before-the-horse, waiting for nothing Triple E pretend senators.

It doesn't really square with a project for a new north american century. Or does it. And, limo-girl, Bev Odious Oda. Oops, wrong "not" scandal. Save Money With Cons.™ Oops, wrong limo/chauffeur scandal. Here: Apr 23 2012. "Five Star Hotel not Good Enough"

robo.gov - update

The Conservatives blamed robocalls on multiple parties, including:

Liberal Party (Dean Del Mastro, Mar5/12),
Elections Canada (Saskatchewan MP Maurice Vellacott, Mar5/12),
a third party (Mike Duffy, Feb 27/12),
isolated incidents (Peter MacKay, Feb 27/12),
they do not know who was responsible (re Guelph, MP Dean Del Mastro, Mar 4/12).

MP Maurice Vellacott (Saskatoon-Wanuskewin) explains that the Conservative Party’s central campaign office in Ottawa is in charge of all Elections Canada voter lists and candidate voter identification lists, including the addition of voter telephone numbers, for all of the 308 Conservative candidate campaigns in federal elections. (Mar 6/12)

Conservatives refuse to make their phone lists public, and demand the Liberals do (they will), which sounds like Stratfor's strategy for scandals: "Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations." (Fred's Rule #2) And PM Harper refuses to explain why Conservative MPs rejected an Elections Canada request to verify campaign financial returns. (Mar 7/12)

In 2008: "Robocalls the night before the election reached thousands of NDP supporters to urge them to get out and vote for the non-existent candidate." (more: shady 3rd party organizations advertising for Lunn, Saanich-Gulf Islands)

hack: i heart ted morton. 9x.
(federal announcement, social
housing units
. July 22, 2011)
But, war veterans are so... boring: sleepytime MP, Rob Anders, was asked to resign from the Commons veterans affairs committee. His apology for "hacks" and "Putins" was not accepted. (Why not just resign altogether, or fire the bum.)

In 2007: "the courts overturned Anders’s acclamation and ordered a new nomination meeting after the judge determined the Conservatives had violated their own rules." Who is Vitor Marciano anyway?
