Elections Canada investigates voter suppression calls in 56 ridings.

CPC's lawyer: Arthur Hamilton

Elections Canada:

"On Aug. 30, 2012, I spoke with Mr. Hamilton by telephone and discussed with him the issue of whether the Conservative Party or its candidate in several [electoral districts] noted herein made such calls. He advised me he would look into the matter and reply," Dickson wrote.

"On Sept. 20, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me he will put the request forward for a response. On Oct. 2, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me that he will attempt to arrange for me to speak directly with the appropriate campaign official. On Oct. 30, 2012, Mr. Hamilton advised me that he anticipates being able to facilitate such meetings in the near future."

Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity
It is a three-way tie. There was the priest broom brawl in Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity; the Italian seismologists who were charged with manslaughter after the 2009 L'Aquila earthquake; and the two last speakers of Ayapaneco, who don't like each other.

Stephen Anderson, former detective, testifies that NYPD routinely planted drugs on people to meet arrest quotas (eight officers arrested).

So far (2012): Charles Monnett, under investigation about melting arctic ice ('polarbeargate'), was finally reprimanded for forwarding an e-mail and otherwise cleared of scientific misconduct.

That charge should be brought to Ann Coulter, who confuses radonor who really knows whatwith {uranium, cesium, plutonium, polonium, strontium, radioactive iodine, sulphur, tellurium, helium or other fukushima cocktails}.

spiny or smooth

One thing that got me riled up was this poem and it's not gracious to pick on poets. It's not an easy job. First, it doesn't pay: crime pays. (Nevertheless.) what kind of sh*t poem is this!?
Each day we go about our business, walking past each other, catching each others’ eyes or not, about to speak or speaking. All about us is noise. All about us is noise and bramble, thorn and din, each one of our ancestors on our tongues. Someone is stitching up a hem, darning a hole in a uniform, patching a tire, repairing the things in need of repair.

Someone is trying to make music somewhere with a pair of wooden spoons on an oil drum with cello, boom box, harmonica, voice.

A woman and her son wait for the bus.

ALEXANDER: A farmer consider the changing sky; A teacher says, “Take out your pencils. Begin.”
We encounter each other in words, Words spiny or smooth, whispered or declaimed; Words to consider, reconsider.

We cross dirt roads and highways that mark the will of someone and then others who said, “I need to see what’s on the other side; I know there’s something better down the road.”

We need to find a place where we are safe; We walk into that which we cannot yet see.
Say it plain, that many have died for this day. Sing the names of the dead who brought us here, who laid the train tracks, raised the bridges, picked the cotton and the lettuce, built brick by brick the glittering edifices they would then keep clean and work inside of.

Praise song for struggle; praise song for the day. Praise song for every hand-lettered sign;
The figuring it out at kitchen tables.
Some live by “Love thy neighbor as thy self.”

Others by first do no harm, or take no more than you need.

What if the mightiest word is love, love beyond marital, filial, national. Love that casts a widening pool of light. Love with no need to preempt grievance.

In today’s sharp sparkle, this winter air, anything can be made, any sentence begun.
On the brink, on the brim, on the cusp -- praise song for walking forward in that light.

I don't like it. (Too many word thingies.) And, speaking of poet laureates, where's Fred Wah. I mean, "Praise Song For The Day' is nice, but is it hoopla inauguration material. Light, schmight. Each day, wait 4bus, blah blah yada, ding dong. It's depressing.

Phone number behind misleading call traced to Conservative office disconnected: Kitchener-Conestoga MP to investigate: http://www.therecord.com/news/local/article/642172--phone-number-behind-misleading-call-disconnected

"The party claims the marketing firm RMG, which was charged with placing the calls, accidentally contacted her about voting in Kitchener Centre. An investigation by The Record revealed the link between the party and the phone call Siopiolosz received. It also revealed she was not alone.

"Elections Canada received over 100 reports of such misleading phone calls in the run-up to the May 2nd election. When called Monday, the phone number went to a voicemail from the “Conservative Party” that promised to get back to inquiries within three days. As of Tuesday morning, the number was no longer in service."

Firm that made Cotler calls also worked for Speaker Andrew Scheer, other Tory candidates. | Federal Tories say alleged election crank call was just an honest mistake.

hapner: lawheed's tru patriot act

welp. on the plus side peter lougheed walked away from karlheinz. hey, look, it's peter kent. sure was a lot of talk about the big conservative family.

peter lougheed (1928-2012)
besides stampedin', hapner rode in for frank glenfield's funeral last year. {hapner "entered the University of Calgary, which is right . . . of the Ayatollah Khomeini, as you probably know, and he became very much under that influence."}

in my mynde, 'patriot' is an american word. here's lougheed at the banff springs hotel as co-chair:
On September 12 to 14, 2006, business and government representatives from the three North American countries met in secret, with no media coverage, at the Banff Springs Hotel and convened the North American Forum. Judicial Watch, a U.S. public watchdog group got declassified government documents through a Freedom of Information Act request and made the documents available on their website. These documents reveal the discussions and membership in the secret meetings. The Canadian co-chair of the meeting was former Alberta premier Peter Lougheed, and Canadian participants included Day, D’Aquino (also a member of the NACC), all NACC corporate representatives, and John Manley. In the released documents, under the forum discussion on “Border Infrastructure and Continental Prosperity,” chaired by John Manley, a startling quote was revealed: “While a vision is appealing, working on the infrastructure might yield more benefit and bring more people on board (‘evolution by stealth’).” What exactly are they evolving by stealth? Oh right, our country. source
so, yeah, a true patriot act. next question: there was such a backlash about state-owned petro canada, yet selling nexen [china national offshore cnooc's $15b (cash) organ trafficking money laundering deal], and alderon stuff is okay, and bombardier private jet sales are booming, so is huawei telecomm. hapner still hates cuba: it's communist! funny how the days go. gotta wonder, whatever was going on with danny williams and the impoverished national hockey league (strike!).

as the afghanistan mission closes, the first 4 soldiers killed in 2002 by U.S. pilots (Tarnak Farm incident: eight seriously wounded) and the last 2 by suicide. that is that.

Royal Canadian Legion BC Newsletter Publishes Offensive "Indian" Joke," August 16, 2012. 'The joke begins with the two hunters in northern Saskatchewan when “an Indian runs across the field.” The Saskatchewan hunter aims and shoots the aboriginal dead. The Alberta hunter expresses shock, but the Saskatchewan hunter tells him it’s legal in Saskatchewan. Later, the Alberta hunter buys beer and puts it on the roof of his truck when “an Indian runs by, grabs the beer and runs away.” The Alberta hunter then pulls out a pistol and shoots the person dead. He’s later arrested by an RCMP officer who tells him that it’s illegal to use “bait” when shooting “Indians” in Saskatchewan.' full article

The Mayor of London was first brought to Our attention when GWB was on His book tour in 2010 for Derision Points. The Mayor had issued a statement to the Unimpeachable President, who recently was honoured with a White House portrait for Officially Lying to and Bankrupting the American People for Illegal Wars; to George Walker Bush, Boris said, We Will arrest You as a War Criminal and You 'might never see Texas again.'
